Ed made the lessons really enjoyable, while perfectly combining the theory with practice.
He has a very intelligent approach to teaching and (if required) uses reading of drum parts to improve your technique and understanding of what you are playing.
My first lesson I told Ed I wanted to build my confidence in playing and understand basics, and about 3 months later, that's exactly what we achieved together.
He is always happy to either work through songs I suggest or work towards my grades and gives clear feedback and pointers on where to improve.
