This first module covers some interesting projects and includes pencil studies, perspective and enlarging, and faces and figures. We begin with the fundamentals to lay the foundations for the rest of the course. We go through the pencil and paper types, we teach you how to use your pencils properly and how to observe the way an artist does, we look at tonal values and form, hatching and other pencil techniques, and we study faces, figures, perspective and a horse.

I never thought I would be able to create anything but with their help, I have discovered different mediums and techniques.
Jo and Liz make each session interesting and fun with good demonstrations and advice, and the atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed.
I come away from each lesson having been introduced to a new skill, either a technique or the use of an exciting new medium there is so much to learn and I love every minute of my time there.
