FAQs

How long does a CBT certificate last?

A DL196 (CBT) certificate lasts for 2 years. CBT will need to be retaken if both a motorcycle theory and practical test are not passed within the 2 year certificate life.

Do I need to do any pre-course preparation?

You will need to have a good understanding of The Highway Code. It also helps if you are not a car driver to spend some time riding a bicycle on the public highway.

What happens if the weather is bad?

We will endeavour to advise all students as early as possible if a course is cancelled due to bad weather. However, please call us if you are unsure if a course will be running. If a course is cancelled, we will rearrange your training at no extra cost.

Will I complete the CBT course in one day?

The majority of people get through their CBT course in one day, but not everyone does. If you are unsuccessful, the course will finish at a point where the Instructor feels it will be more beneficial for you, the student to come back on another day for further training before allowing you to progress on to the road.
