Savasana is a laying-down restorative pose (asana) often used at the end of a class as it encourages relaxation and calms the mind and body, helping to regulate the nervous system.nnSavasana translates to 'corpse pose' and as well as being a nice relaxation, it is a physical reminder of the impermanence of all things, that everything is borrowed.nnInstead of being morbid and sad this reminder is supposed to liberate us from attaching our sense of self too strongly to transient things.
