My first few weeks of sessions with Fiona were nothing short of a fiasco for there could not possibly be two more outrageously different people on this planet. We would often just stare at each other in total disbelief for minutes on end. However, as the months continued, I learnt that not only was I capable of stringing a few numbers together, but that Fiona is actually a proper laugh as well as a fantastic tutor. Instead of forcing me to try and understand things with no logical explanation, she illuminated the dark workings of an examiner's mind and in that way I learnt to develop my exam technique. After several months of trying to make chalk and cheese a palatable combination, I sat three maths exams and managed to achieve a level 7 (equivalent to an A). Thank you Fiona, not only...
