Little Stars classes are an exciting and imaginative introduction to dance and drama. Children from the age of 21/2 take their first steps in classical ballet and tap and are introduced to drama and singing techniques through music and nursery rhymes. The classes are for boys and girls. Children will love the characterised dances and drama roles gaining confidence and independence through the use of props and dressing up. Children become independent, improve their balance and co-ordination, enhance their imagination and develop their self-expression. FAQs

Where in Bournemouth do you teach?

We have our own studios based full time in Charminster, Bournemouth so all of our dance classes are held in the same location. Anglo Dance Studios 93A Chatsworth Charminster Bournemouth BH8 8SN Please go to the Contact Page to view a larger map of Charminster Bournemouth. If you require directions then please get in touch and we will do our best to guide you here.

Will I get hot?

Yes, as dancing is such great exercise for your whole body you may get a little warm during our classes. Please make sure you arrive feeling fresh and wearing light clothing. For Ballet, Disco, Street Dance and Keep fit classes we recommend bringing a drink and wearing an extra layer that you can take off after a warm up.

What shoes can I wear?

Any comfortable, light shoe is ideal to start with for Ballroom and Latin lessons. We Prefer you not to wear sling backs, flip flops, boots or anything with steel tips as they damage our maple sprung dance floors. Trainers or Jazz Pumps are perfect for Hip Hop, Street Dance or Freestyle Classes. Bare feet or ballet slippers are ideal for all Ballet classes. Jazz shoes for Musical Theatre Tap shoes or school shoes to begin with for Tap classes.

Do I need a partner?

Come with or without a partner to any absolute beginners Ballroom and Latin dance class. Once you have advanced to an improver level then you will need a partner. Do let us know if you are looking for a partner to attend an improver class as we may be able to help you. For Freestyle and Ballet classes be brave, come on your own or with friends.
