There's a big misconception around styling that its all arm flicks and hair combs/caricias. Its a big part of it, but not all of it. From the Oxford English Dictionary, style is described as: 1. A confident, effortless manner or technique 2. Fashionable elegance and sophistication 3. A way of painting, writing, building, etc., characteristic of a particular period, place, person, or movement. 4. A way of using language 5. One’s usual way of behaving or approaching situations To put this another way, style is not what you do, but the way that you do it, to make it your own. At the class, you will learn body movements, footwork and arm styling, but you will also learn how to use these at the right time for you, and to make them your own, to appear more effortless and feel more confident in your dancing.
