Hi! I am Julia - Owner and Artist at Absolutely Mintage by Julia 🎨✨ Let me take you on a little journey down memory lane. Back in 2014, I stumbled into the world of furniture painting after our budget ran out wallet following a home renovation. Little did I know, it would turn into my ultimate passion! A couple of years later, I decided to turn my love for furniture facelifts into a full-blown business and opened up a shop in 2017. Ah, the memories! But as many small business owners know, the struggle was real. Financial hurdles made me have to reevaluate, and I made the tough call to close the shop. But hey, where there's a will, there's a way! I shifted gears, diving into commissions and hosting workshops from the cozy space of my home. Fast forward to today, and I'm living the dream in my very own studio nestled in our garden. 🌿 My heart still races with excitement every time I breathe new life into a piece that seems like it's on its last legs. It's more than a job—it's a mission. I'm on a quest to rescue vintage furniture from the clutches of landfill doom! If it can still serve a purpose, why not repurpose and reuse? FAQs

How long is each art class?

Each art class lasts 3 hours, ensuring you have plenty of time to really achieve something good! They are held once a week for each of the 14 weeks and you can choose either a morning or afternoon slot to fit in with your other commitments, subject to availability.

How many students to a class?

Numbers vary according to the size and capacity of each venue but we do have a maximum class size to ensure everyone gets plenty of individual input from the two Seasons Art Class team members per class. Please complete our enquiry form to check availability at your nearest class.

What mediums do you teach?

You will be given step-by-step tuition in sketching and drawing techniques, oil pastels, watercolour painting and the comparatively modern medium of acrylics. We will also teach you how to temporarily mount your picture for an exhibition, and if you return for further courses, you learn about other techniques, tools or mediums with different subject matter.

What happens if I return for another course?

If you are a returning student you will be given more advanced projects, designed to take you to the next level. Our improvers receive a level of teaching that is appropriate to their experience.

What age range do you teach?

All of our art classes are intended for adults only, with attendees ranging in age from 18 to 90+. Many of our students are of retirement age and keen to take on a new creative hobby now that they have a bit of extra time on their hands. Overall, we have a diverse range of students and our weekly meetings offer a chance to socialise and mix with like-minded people, creating many long-lasting friendships
