I don’t miss the injury and the making the agreed body weight part, but I do miss the part of it that flooded my heart with emotions, where at one point in my life it was the only place I could express myself and leave my anxieties and struggles in the fight. As a kid growing up I didn’t have the best experience, but the sacrifice and training, following onto actual competing done wonders for my mental and physical state of health. Martial Arts has and always will be a massive part of my training and lifestyle, as a coach with the sport science side of it and for myself. It switched something on deep within my soul and it made me who I am today. For that I am eternally grateful and have so much respect for the sport! My only regrets - I should of gone further and had more self-belief! Massive big up to the world of Combat Sports and Martial Arts!
