DO YOU TUTOR NEURODIVERGENT CHILDREN?

BrainySpinach Maths is ADHD, ASD, PDA & Dyscalculia friendly. As a certified educator with years of SEND experience, I designed my Classes to support diverse learning styles. I use gentle, engaging methods to help children focus and thrive on their educational journey.

What are the expectations of students & their guardians when enrolled in classes?

Students under the age of 18 must be represented by a parent or legal guardian who gives consent for them to enrol in a class delivered by me. I am not responsible for any dispute between a person under the age of 18 and a parent or guardian.

How long does each class last?

Our classes vary in length between 25 and 60 minutes, depending on whether or not written feedback is being created at the end of the Class. For full details on the length of each Class, please check out the dedicated Class page!

Why are your classes so short?

I used to run some Roblox Maths Classes for up to 90 minutes. Unfortunately, I found it was hard to keep up the exciting gameplay consistently for that long, which then would often lead to my students disengaging towards the end of the session. Most learning was always done in the first 20-30 minutes, so I figured that would be the best session length going forward! Additionally, shorter lessons are highly beneficial for younger students and those with difficulties concentrating for longer periods. They are also much easier to squeeze into a busy homeschooling and home education timetable!
