At what age should children begin piano lessons? This is a question that is often asked by parents and teachers. As an experienced piano teacher based in Worcestershire, UK, I believe it to be quite difficult to determine a specific age as each has unique learning styles and needs. It is wrong to assume that every child below a certain age, say seven, would not be ‘ready’ to learn the piano, be that physically, mentally or otherwise.
