Spend a day discovering the wonderful world of gel plate printing. Under the guidance of experienced artist and tutor Carol, you will be introduced to the basic technique of rolling out the acrylic paint onto your plate and transferring your print to paper. You will be shown a variety of ways to add interest to your prints, layering colours and incorporating patterns and imagery by using stencils, mark making tools and plant materials. Then, it’s time to unleash your creativity and create your own collection of beautiful prints. Towards the end of the afternoon you will have the opportunity to transform some of your favourites into one or more greeting cards and review which you might take away to make into that perfect framed print.
