Today is #WorldMeditationDay and a gentle reminder we don't need to do a big effort or set up an elaborate altar but just sit with your breathing. Great to softly slow the breath with a longer exhalation to help calm and steady yourself. If busy mind bumps into much give a good noisy sigh as release those thoughts. nnGet comfy with a tall spine so you can breath easily. Sitting on a chair with feet flat on floor or use a folded blanket to lift feet, likewise roll up a blanket or cushion under hips if sitting on the floor. Try breathing in counting 4 and slower out counting 6. Add pause in-between, gently pause with full breath and if you steadily pull in tummy muscles feels easier to pause when emptied. Don't force or strain, work with how you are today. nnWe do a brief stillness at the of #yogaclass, already calm from the relaxation and then breath work. I love using the Ticht Nat Hahn quote drop into the mindset. nn#stillness...
