Release the year behind and replenish yourself for the year ahead. Join Sam for this New Year workshop blending dynamic movement with restful postures. Bringing together Shake the Dust and Embodied Yin, Sam creates a beautiful and powerful practice designed to help you shake off 2023 and welcome in 2024. Shake the Dust combines jumping, pilates, yoga, dancing, somatics and of course, shaking! A real chance to let go! The practice will be held by a carefully curated playlist and is designed to help you release what’s keeping you stuck! We’ll start with a short settling practice, connecting you to your body and breath. There’ll be time for you to consider what you’d like to leave behind (and shake off) as you enter 2024. We’ll then up -the-cardio, crank up the tunes and shake off everything that’s holding us back. In the second half of the practice we let the body do its thing. We take a step back from ‘doing’ and we rest in ‘being’. Think longer-held restorative shapes, close to the floor. The session will end with time to notice what came up, reflecting in a journal and setting goals for 2024. This workshop is accessible for everyone, you do not need to have practiced yoga before.
