After 4 years off the pole I decided to join Akila's pole dancing classes. Ever since I've been hooked and really look forward to my lessons. The class is so fun and has a really girly vibe, with everyone cheering each other on and having fun together. I think Akila creates this environment by being so warm and friendly, and the most encouraging teacher I've ever met. She challenges you to try lots of new moves, pushes you until you get them and praises you so much along the way. There's lots of variety and challenge but so much support. I would encourage anyone to come try it out because you definitely will want to come back! ! Even if you come on your own as a complete beginner you will feel instantly comfortable and at home.
