Nelson and I met years ago - a friend and I had attended his art classes in Whitechapel as a way of reconnecting with our 'inner artists' - and I am so glad we did.
I was also surprised to see his proficiency with both classical western and eastern styles of painting (btw his Mughal miniature paintings are amazing!

His unique artistic methods and also the way he teaches are incredible - people that collect his paintings are rewarded with masterpieces!
I'm a singer and I had the opportunity to do photography work with Nelson, I loved his sensitivity, the way he created the right moments, the insight into every detail, in capturing beauty, in making art, in understanding the magic of moments : It's really fantastic.
The faithful adherence to ancient methods and materials along with the sensitive and skilful brush work by Ferreira made this a truly emotive and strong piece of art with just the right balance of head, heart and hand.
An accomplished man in so many ways and keen to encourage even the least confident student.
His work was absolutely stunning (true master of it’s own kind) Wherever he goes people are following him.
You will see a great improvement in your technique whether you are a beginner or master, he always has something new to teach you!
What I find particularly impressive is his ability to adapt to the varying skill levels of his students, speaking in fundamental terms that newbies can understand and without skipping a beat tune in to more advanced students.
