Afan Lido Kickboxing & Karate club was established in 1996 by the late Shihan Ritchie Noblett 8th Dan, widely acknowledged as one of Britain's' finest Karate exponents and one of the pioneers of British karate. Ritchie sadly passed away in 2009 after a hard fought battle with cancer. During this time, Mark Watkins then retired from fighting and took over as chief instructor, eventually evolving the club into the WKO and continuing to grow from strength to strength. Mark is also the Full Contact coach for WAKO GB and the Top Ten UK Full Contact Team who are currently competing all over the world.

I've been with Storm for nearly 4 years, I joined storm when I was 28 thinking maybe I was a little old to keep up with the youngsters but I was happy to find out they catered for all ages and abilities.
