After creating the woodland scene, the children can use it to act out the story and the song, or of course make up their own stories using the children and animals provided... or adding their own! This helps again reinforce the meaning of the song lyrics and story and is especially useful for those who learn by doing (which is basically all of us!). This is one of my favourite projects as I know that I would have loved to play with this scene over and over.
