FAQs
Can I watch my child ride?
Yes, parents are more than welcome to watch their children when they have a lesson in the school, but please we ask you not to interfere with the instruction or distract your child. You can also follow on foot when they go out on a hack but you will probably get left behind!
Why do I need to complete a rider registration form?
We ask everyone to fill in the rider registration form before they ride, so that we have your contact and next of kin details, any medical history that may affect your riding and you riding experience, all for you own safety. Please fill the form in as honestly as you can, it is better to underestimate your ability. If you are unwilling to complete the form, we are sorry but we will not allow you to ride.
How do I pay?
Please pay before you ride. We accept cash and BACS (Bank transfer). Please text 07792 358742 for our bank details. Sorry but we are unable to accept debit and credit cards.
What happens in bad weather ?
Lessons carry on in the indoor school. We still hack out in the rain depending on how heavy it is and how keen the riders want to go out for a hack. Sometimes we are unable to hack out when the ground is frozen or waterlogged. The only time we cancel riding is when the roads are covered in snow and customers cannot get to us or when there is a storm with very high, dangerous winds.
Will my child ride the same pony every week?
We try to get children to ride a variety of ponies, to develope their confidence and experience. Also some ponies are very popular so riders have to take turns. Most importantly we make sure that your child has a pony that suits their ability.

Court Equestrian is back in business after the Floods! The photo shows our entrance, with 300mm (1 foot) of water across our entrance o Lower Ferry Lane. Whilst that water level dropped after a few days, our main fields remained flooded and then water-logged for a long time. We kept some lessons going most of the time, but we are now fully open for business! w will be investing a lot of money this year to make the outdoor schools etc more resilient to the floods, so that we can maintain activity. It's important not just for our liveries and riders having their usual lessons and hacks, but also for the 16-18 year students, who are taking their City & Guild courses here with us instead of at school or college.
