Thank you to Sensei Dave for a great Black and Brown belt sessionnnMy basic interpretation of the session..nnThe session was based on Bassai Dai,s frame work.nRemoving all the hard focus points on each move, instead replacing them with an open hand smooth more rounded flow from one move to the next. nPartner worknBroken down into approx 10 (+ a few variation) sections we used the flowing approach to use the moves in each section to evasion, parry, lock and take downs the attacker(s) nnAs we know there are many ways to interpret Kata either by their name or their applications. nnSensei Dave said the idea for the session was instead of taking the view that we are storming a fortress, but instead to flip it and view it as we are the fortress being attacked by a relentless attack (storm).
