More than simply revision sessions, our Revision Master Classes are set up with subject mastery in mind. The sessions are aimed at small groups of students (limited to four students per session) and are intended to cover specific sections of the curriculum. Targetted revision in the first half of the session will give way, following a short break for refreshments, to exam-specific technique and practice in the second half.

There are many studies that show that collaborative work is beneficial for student learning. It develops many skills that traditional one-to-one teaching cannot. Describing your knowledge to another student is a powerful method of cementing your own mastery of a subject; developing new approaches to problem solving frequently happens when working with peers; and enhancing communication skills, both written and oral, is a tangible benefit of working in teams. At Underground Learning we place emphasis on this aspect of teaching and learning and to reflect this we offer these sessions for a fixed fee, irrespective of how many students attend (up to the maximum of four students).

We recognise that some parents and students would prefer private tuition to take place in their own home and we will always consider such requests. We would, however, point out the benefits of having a bespoke classroom available that is completely free from distraction and is fully resourced to enable maximum use of the time available. Revision Master Classes, naturally, need to be conducted in our classroom.
