However, being determined and tenacious to a strict yet progressive strength and conditioning plan focussing on key aspects of technical movement means that you, as an individual, can achieve anything that you put your mind to.nnThis is no different in Lorna’s case who recently achieved her very first bodyweight, full range of motion, press up – something she could only dream of in 2019 when she first joined us here at CP.nnInitially, Lorna joined CP as a complete strength training novice with goals to be strong, fit and healthy to cope with the demands of everyday life. Training twice a week with her husband Paul, Lorna embraces the challenges strength training can offer you in terms of both a journey and a result. nnShe started this journey by doing press ups at a reduced range to a barbell, pinpointing clear fundamentals of the press up technique. Over time, Lorna has bee able to progressively overload her strength week in week out with the end result being that she is now able to do 2 full range press ups! 💪🏼nnThis shows that although holistically Lorna is still achieving what she wants to achieve, she is also engaging in the learning process of advanced body weight exercises, something that gives her the motivation each week on the way to achieving special things.nnAnd that does not end there for Lorna – she is currently very close to achieving her first ever body weight chin up!nnWatch this space… 👀nnVery well-done Lorna.
