FAQs

What should I bring for my child?

We provide mats and all teaching equipment and water aids. It is recommended to bring a bottle of water for your child to drink after they finish the lesson. For babies we recommend their usual food as they can get very hungry swimming around for 30 minutes.

What if my child has never been in the water before?

All our teachers are very experienced with dealing with nervous children and they will know how to deal with the children. However it is always best to take your child to the pool before hand to familiarise him/her with the layout and facilities.

How do I enrol my child onto lessons?

Choose a location you are looking to enrol your child at and either email or call the Swim School to be booked onto the next course. If the class is full you will be offered an alternative or to go on the waiting list.

What age can my child begin swimming lessons?

Little Swim Academy takes babies from 5 weeks old and once they graduate from here at about 3 years old they can join Swim School Academy right up to the age of 16. Little Swim and Swim School cater for all ages and all abilities; if you are unsure on where to place your child please call the office where we can help place your child in the most suitable class for them.

How many children are in each class?

Swim School Academy and Little Swim Academy prides itself on small class sizes. This ensures that all children get the special care and attention in learning the vital life skill of swimming. Little Swim Academy has a maximum class size of 7. Swim School Academy has a maximum class size of no more than 6 with some pools going down as low as 3 children per group.
