There are many benefits to be had for children and adults who train seriously. Karate training provides excellent all-round exercise, develops coordination, agility, and concentration. Confidence and social skills are enhanced. Children and adults can burn off excess energy and for those who enjoy sport then taking part in competitions is also available. At the end of each term, students who are up to the required standard will sit a grading test, in order to move up to the next level. Beginners start as white belts then progress through various belts/tags to reach Brown Belt level. Brown belts should be ideally training at least twice a week as they train to ultimately pass to Black Belt level. Only motivated children with the support of their parents reach this level of skill. Technical improvement, behaviour and good attendance all play a part in the belt promotion process. The first lesson is a FREE TASTER lesson. We use this lesson to see how your child or you get along. Of course, another important benefit is to learn self- defence which might be useful at some point in their lives.
