For the first 21 years of my life, I thought my path was to become the Kickboxing World Champion…nnBut after many years of hard sparring since I was a kid, I was accumulating a fair amount of brain damage, had no money to pay bills, and lived a life filled with the monotony of training all day every day.nnIt wasn’t until I learnt about the importance of using Martial Arts and Philosophy as tools to live your life as successfully as possible, that something shifted.nnI couldn’t find anyone who was blending Martial Arts, Functional Strength Training, and Philosophy together. Or teaching how to truly link the body and mind together.nnI saw a huge gap that needed to be filled.nnI consulted my Philosophy professors for life’s deeper questions.nnI enquired with my Martial Arts teachers on matters of war and peace.nnAnd studied elite Strength and Conditioning coaches, Biomechanics specialists, and Posture experts to piece together the right ways to get strong.nnBut no one had all the answers I wanted in one place.nnBlending the three disciplines meant that I was able to perform in a self-defence situation, build a solid baseline of strength (as well as an athletic body), and learn how to think properly, so I could address any problem in my life with ease.nnIn the end, I created my own path, and studied countless more programmes, books, and resources.nnI extracted what worked, and discarded the rest, then added what was uniquely my own (to paraphrase the great Bruce Lee).nnFor those students who were ready for a full transformation, it made a huge impact.nnAnd since I was already teaching from 10 years old, I decided to start FitRoots.nnI started with a small Personal Training studio, then went back to my roots, and built what many would consider a successful Martial Arts School, specialising in Kickboxing.nnThe problem?nnI built the wrong mission.nnLots of students, back-to-back classes, surface-level change in students, and a feeling of dissatisfaction. I questioned whether a Martial Arts School could have a genuine impact in the modern world.nnSo I committed even more to my signature blending of Martial Arts teachings, Philosophy insights for mental growth, and high-level Personal Training.nnThen the new mission revealed itself.nnNow, my mission is to create a movement of 10 million Dads who lead by example.nnI got myself back in shape after some time neglecting my health.nnI went from being depressed, with red-raw eczema, gut issues, and a bunch of other issues, to feeling like my younger self again.nnI stopped falling for the trap of putting work first. Or saying I will start tomorrow. And thinking it wasn’t that bad to be out of shape.nnI fell in love with training again.nnAnd I rebuilt my relationship with myself physically, mentally, and spiritually.nnI used the exact same system I teach my students to build my own warrior’s physique in just 30-45 minutes/day.nnI get to train at home with the right setup and plan.nnOr train at the gym if I feel like it.nnOr, even a Martial Arts class when the fundamentals are covered.nnI spend more time outside, and more time playing with and teaching the kids. nnAnd less time working, but with more focus and energy, leaving me working 4-6 hours/day with 8-12 hours of output.nnIt’s simple, yet I finally felt I was leading my family by example.nnI finally began walking the walk again since my fighting days.nnAnd I’ve never been more excited to train and stay in shape for life.nnThis new path is accessible to any Dad who’s ready to change.nnI call it The Warrior’s Path.nnThanks for reading, and if you want access to my free training which shares the 5 ways to train smarter so you can maximise muscle building with the right 30 minute workouts, just comment ‘SMART’ below 👇...
