Whether you are lacing up your trainers for the first time, or training for a marathon, this workshop has something suitable for all runners and is open to all levels. The workshop includes a vinyasa style yoga flow starting with a short dynamic sequence designed to target your pre-run warm up. We will then explore the anatomy of a runner and break down some of the key yoga postures used to improve core strength needed for running. Understanding how the body works is key to improving performance and helps to prevent common injuries. Ending with a power flow that is designed to help build strength, balance and target muscle groups specific to running. The workshop will close with a relaxing yoga stretch flow with postures aimed at releasing connective tissue and common tight areas in the body due to running. Guided breath work designed to enhance running performance is embedded throughout the practice.
