FAQs

Who is Pilates for?

Pilates is suitable for all ages and abilities: whether you are recovering from an injury, you suffer from chronic lower back pain, you are a new mum, or want to improve your performance as an athlete or dancer.

How will I feel after sessions?

Pilates will leave you feeling stronger, more co-ordinated, mobile and happier in your body. we are committed to providing you with the highest quality care and teaching, empowering you to lead your fullest and healthiest life.

Do men do Pilates?

Yes! The method was developed by a man and it was intended as an exercise programme for men as well as women. Many of the exercises we do are physio based to improve running/sports/ general fitness so we get a good range of male runners, footballers and athletes coming to the classes.

Am I fit enough to do Pilates?

Yes!! Pilates is for everybody. You do not need to be flexible, strong or super fit. You will be guided to work at your own level throughout. Couch potatoes are more than welcome!

Why do I need to block book in advance?

At Pilates Space we are committed to providing you with the highest level of Pilates instruction possible. To plan and deliver high quality classes it is necessary to know who will be in which class and to limit the numbers so that the instructor can give individual attention. Beginners and Back Care classes are limited to 6 per class whereas the Mixed Ability and Intermediate classes take 12-14.
