I had an interesting conversation with a client yesterday. When asked how she was finding class, she let me know that it was having an amazingly positive impact on her mental health. She hadn't come to us to help with that, she'd come to help build strength, so she was surprised at how it made her feel. What was REALLY interesting though was that she said she hadn't realised how much she needed it. We put the message out there that we need to start filling our own cup first before we help others.......that you can't pour from an empty cup - but what happens if the cup gets so full it overflows (and not in the abundant way)? What do we do then? We have to get the message out there that some of the simplest changes can lead to powerful changes in how we feel. Exercise is one way to start influencing how you feel. Whilst it's not realistic to remove stress from your life, we have to make a choice to prioritise our natural defences : - exercise - sleep - nutrition - social connection All basic stuff (that we all KNOW but struggle to prioritise) - so lets help each other to find a way.
